Felipe Correa, Director and Founding Member

Felipe Correa is an architect and Assistant Professor of Urban Design at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He is the co-founder of Somatic Collaborative, a research based design practice based in New York City. His most recent work focuses on processes of resource extraction in South America and their direct and indirect influence on urbanization in the region. Correa co-edited Cities "X Lines: A New Lens for the Urbanistic Project” (Actar / Nicolodi 2006) and Invention / Transformation: Strategies for the Jimi / Quattara Oases in Al Ain” (Harvard GSD 2010).

Ana María Durán Calisto, Director and Founding Member

Ana María Durán Calisto is an architect and researcher and co-principal of Estudio A0, with her partner Jaskran Singh Kalirai in Quito. Her research endeavors focus on three subject matters: the urbanization process in remote areas and fragile ecosystems like the Amazon Basin and the Galapagos Islands, the impact of the infrastructural integration of South America, and the forces shaping contemporary Latin American design practices. Ana Maria has been a visiting critic at the GSD-Harvard and the GSAPP-Columbia. She also teaches architecture studios at the School of Architecture, Design and Arts of Universidad Católica del Ecuador. She was a Loeb Fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Design during the year 2010-2011.

Víctor Muñoz Sanz, Executive Director

Víctor Muñoz Sanz is an architect based in Boston (USA) and Madrid (Spain). He is the founder of Sanz-Serif,
 an open and plastic practice that focuses on estrategic and speculative design thinking at multiple scales. He is currently a Research Associate in the Department of Urban Planning and Design of the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Víctor received his Architecture degree from the Technical School of Architecture of Madrid, and his Master of Architecture in Urban Design, with distinction, from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He is also a PhD Candidate in the Architectural Design Department of the School of Architecture of Madrid.

Mariusz Klemens, Spatial analysis advisor

Mariusz is a very recent graduate from Master of Architecture in Urban Design at Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He was born in Poland and moved to Chicago where he graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Architecture. While studying in Chicago he received the Benn-Johnck Award in 2010 from the American Institute of Architects in Chicago. Mariusz has been working as an architect and designer in Chicago for the past eight years, before coming to GSD to focus on urban design studies at GSD.
